Amir Khan


Amir Hussain Khan is an Indian film actor, producer and director and known as the on of the finest actor who ruled over the hearts of people. Amir Khan born on 14 March 1965 in Bandra Mumbai, India in a Muslim family. His father Tahir Hussain was a film producer. Amir Khan’s family has been involved and served for the Indian motion picture from many decades. His uncle Nasir Hussain was also a famous film producer while former deputy chairperson and current member of Rajya Sabha and Dr. Najma Heptulla is Amir’s second cousin.
Amir started his career as a child star in Nasir Hussain’s (his uncle) film Yadon Ki Barat in 1973. Holi 1984 was Amir Khan’s first professional film while he had his first commercial success with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 and also won his fist national film Award for his role.
Amir Khan was also awarded by Film Fare Award for best actor in 1996 for his film Raja Hindustani. Lagaan was Amir Khan’s debut film under his own production company and he won another Academy Award for Lagaan.
After four year gap, Amir Khan came back with his another film Mangal Pandey in 2005. Rang De Basanti in 2006, Tare Zameen Par in 2007 made on a sensitive issue and was praised allover in the world. Amir also got an Award for Best Director for Tare Zameen Par. A thriller film Ghajni in 2008 and romantic comedy  film 3 Idiots in 2009, raise his graph of popularity. He was honored by Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan by Government of India.
Amir Khan is also working as a Brand Ambassador of UNICEF to promote children nourishment (nutrition). He is also part of the Gov. Organized campaign to make people aware about insufficient nutrition.
