McDonald’s logo stands for the walk-up hamburger. The bright yellow color of the logo represents Sunshine and Warmth, happiness, playful, Positivity.  The idea of golden archives was introduce by Dick and Mac McDonald.

The world famous McDonald's fast food restaurant got its start in 1940 as a Bar B Q restaurant in California owned by two brothers Mac McDonald and Dick.  This business was expended by there business partners Ray Kroc.

McDonald has the largest fast food chain restaurant through out the world, serving around 68 million customers daily in 119 countries. It offers regionalized versions of its menu among different countries (like every nation carries their regional and local traditions of food menus depending on location and localized fare).

It was the journey of food from 1940 till now increasing day by day.

In 1962 the 1st indoor seating of McDonald restaurant was opened.

In 1964 Filet-o-Fish sandwich introduced.

In 1967 McDonald goes at international level introducing branches in different countries.

In 1971 the Egg McMuffin sandwich was marketed in the U.S as McDonald's first breakfast menu item.

In 1977 Breakfast menu was introduced internationally.

In 1979 HAPPY MEALS were introduced to the menu.

In 1987 fresh salad was also added and a play ground for children was also introduced at main franchise.

In 1996 www.McDonald.com was launched.

In 2000 fruit and yogurt parfait introduced.

In 2002 McDonald celebrate WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY and all the income goes to the charity.

In 2006 grilled & crispy snack wraps were introduce in U.S.

In 2009 McCafe coffee including "cappuccinos, mocha's and lattes” were also added to the menu.

In 2010 fruit smoothies, caramel and frappes took place on the menu.

In 2012 shamrock shake offered nationally in the U.S.

McDonald's menu offers Hamburgers and Sandwiches , Chicken nuggets , Breakfast , Salads (vegetable and fruits ) , French fries , Deserts , Snacks and Sides , McCafe , Drinks , Shakes and Beverages .

It also has many competitors like Burger king, White Castle, Whataburger, Di-cos , Carl's Jr. and Hardees’s ,   Krystal , Jack in the Box . Many Controversies also took place during the establishment of McDonald and its franchisees but McDonald's kept its place as fast food chain restaurants.
