The Great Wall Of China


The Great Wall of China is a serial of defensive work called fortification. It is made of stones, wood, brick, tamped earth and other solid materials. The wall of China built along on east to west line from the northern historical borders of China. The purpose behind the construction of wall was to protect the China for its prototypical state from thrust in by various nomadic groups or military sudden attacks by various warlike people or forces.
The concept of defensive wall's construction was settled from the century BC, when several walls had already began to be built at that time. Later on these all walls joined together and made bigger, stronger and consolidated are now aggregate imputed to as the GREAT WALL.
The most famous wall had been built between 220-206 BC by the first Empire of China, His name was Qin Shi Huang.
Since then, the Great China Wall has on and off been reconstructed, maintained, heightened. The most of the part of the existing wall was rebuilt during the Ming imperial.
Other aims  of the Great Wall of China have comprised allowing for border control practices like check points for trade purpose and to bring in order or encourage trade of horses and silk products and also to control emigration and immigration.
Then the construction of troop barracks, watch towers, garrison stations enhanced the defensive characteristic of the Wall. It stretches from Lop Lake west to Shanhaiguan east.
The archaeological measurement of the wall is 8,851. 8 .Km.
The Great China wall is also known as the WONDER OF THE WORLD and the Longest Wall of the World.
