The
oldest style of garment known to mankind was skirt made of animals skin
, banana leaves woven together was wrapped around the waist and chest ,
then the essential skirt was created . Afterwards fabric took place
and become a grace for human form .
For
hundred years ago long skirt was the symbol of luxury and the material
for the skirt was expensive. Women who wear long skirts show their
modesty and prestige. As u can say the skirt design is all about your
own personal style and comfortableness .
Men
and women wore skirts from many cultures , like in India men wear skirt
called " Lungi " and for women was " Ghaghra " , and the ancient art
also shows men in skirts . But as time passed, only women known for
wearing skirts. And if you look at the ancient paintings of Egypt and
clothing history you see men and women both wear skirt using
the material of cotton fabric for women’s and Steel for men’s.

always as feminine as they are today. European women wore nothing but
dresses and skirts, so it became slang for "woman" in the English
language.
