Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a white marble magnificent tomb located in a city of India "Agra". The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his third beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The Taj Mahal is immensely known as the "Jewel of Muslim Art in India". It is one of the universally praised masterpiece of the World's Asset. Taj Mahal's design combination of Persian, Turkish and Indian architect. White domed marble is specialty of the Taj Mahal, that make it unique in itself.

Around 1632, The construction of Taj Mahal was started and completed in 1653. The construction of the Taj Mahal  was confided to a board of architects industry Abdul Karim, Makranat Khan and Ustad Ahmed Lahori.

In 1631, Shah Jahan the Great Mughal Emperor was stricken in grief. when his wife Mumtaz died during the birth of their 14th child.

the Shah Jahan decided to construct a world art piece in the memory of his beloved wife. That's why the Taj Mahal is also known as a symbol of Love.

In 1632 construction was started and tomb was completed nearly in 1648, while surrounding buildings and gardens were finished after 5 years.

In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Its also known for its white Marble. Though Mughal Emperor used Red Marbels in primary constructions.

Use of white marble withe precious stones under supervision of Mughal Emperor, Taj Mahal reached new levels of refinement.
